The following information was abstracted from reel 1 of the microfilmed copy of the Paw Creek Presbyterian Church Session Minutes & Registry.  The microfilm is available at the Robinson-Spangler North Carolina Room of the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County main branch.

This may not a complete listing of deaths of soldiers that occuried during the Civil War.

Died July the 7 1862 David H Johnston in Gwathmey Hospital in Richmon Va of Erysipelas Tiphord (erysipelas typhoid) fever & Contueson (contusion) in the Brest By a spent ball in the battle near Richmon Va the 30 of June 1862 he was an orderly Member of Paw Creek Church the last five years of his life the decd was 27 years of age

Fell in the Battle at Richmon VA June the 26 1862 Mr James A Todd in the 29th year of his Age he was a Concistant member in Paw Creek Church for the last 16 years of his life

Fell in the Battle Before Richmon VA June the 26 1862 Mr John D D Alexander in the 25 year of his age he was an ordely member in Paw Creek Church for near 12 monthes

Fell in the Battle Before Richmon VA June 26 1862 Mr J H P Means in the 17 year of his age hee was an ordely member in Paw Creek Church for near 12 monthes

Benjamin P Alexander dide 3rd August 1862 in the hospital at Petersburg VA of Tyfoid (typhoid) fever a member in full communion a ordly meber

Dide in Wilson Hosptille John Alexander February 12 1863 dide of camp dyreiar (diarrhea) a member of the church in full communion

Dide in Camp Winder Hospitle David W Hoover April 1863 deses (disease) unnown a member in church in full communion

James A Clark 1 July 1863 A member in the church in full communion
Fell in the battle of Gettysburg

John N Abernathy fell in the Battle of Fredericksburg VA June 1863  A member in church in full communion

John Sandford Dec 1863 a member in full communion in the church he was wounded in the Battle of Gains Mill and dide in a Short time

G V B Todd (died) 06 May 1864 (age) 25 a member in full communion Fell on the battle feel of the Willdernes badly wounded and has never bin heard of Sence
